This time outside Parliament…..

United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarians Dayasiri Jayasekera, Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena, Sajith Premadasa and others set fire to copies of the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, this time outside the Parliamentary Complex unlike the last during the Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga regime where the copies were burnt inside the House. The Opposition staged a massive protest against the Amendments and marched from the Ayurveda Junction in Borella towards Parliament under the eagle eyes of the police and the security forces this evening.
