A protest organized by the Jaffna University Society was held in Jaffna today (24) against the deferring of the UN report into alleged rights violations during the conflict in Sri Lanka.
The protestors, who demanded that consideration of a long-awaited report be carried out on the planned date, handed over a letter to the Bishop of Manner Rt Rev Dr Rayappu Joseph, requesting him to submit it to the UN Human Rights Council.
