Sri Lanka celebrates 78th Independence Day…

Sri Lanka’s 78th National Independence Day was celebrated today (February 04) under the theme “Rebuilding Sri Lanka,” at the Independence Square in Colombo. The main ceremony commenced at 7:30 a.m. under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Addressing the occasion, the President stated that the government is determined to build a new, economically strong Sri Lanka by utilizing the country’s human resources.
