Nipunarachchi to parliament?

With DNA Leader Sarath Fonseka losing his parliamentary seat, it is likely that Lakshman Nipunarachchi might get the vacated seat. According to general election regulations if a Member of Parliament loses his parliament seat the next person from the same party who got the highest preferential votes in the District receives the seat.
From the Colombo District Sarath Fonseka and Sunil Handunnettiwere were elected to parliament and next in line according to preferential votes from the DNA is Nipunarachchi.
