Radhakrishnan joins Upcountry People’s Front

Member of Parliament V.Radhakrishnan has decided to join the Upcountry People’s Front. He issued this statement after the conclusion of discussions with the party’s leader Shanthini Devi Chandrasekaran and other party members yesterday evening at Colombo.
Speaking to Ada Derana the MP stated that at yesterday’s discussions it was also decided that he be appointed the leader of the party’s political wing. He said that he will officially be joining the party after the 21stOctober.
V.Radhakrishnan who was previously a member of the Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) had opted to sit independently in Parliament. The CWC not responding to his request for a Deputy Ministerial post and not letting him contribute in party’s activities, discussions are the reasons for his departure from the Sri Lanka Workers Congress, he said.
