High Court to take-up Ratwatte case on 18th

The Colombo High Court today ordered the case filed against Anuruddha Ratwatte to be examined on 18 October. The former Deputy Defence Minister is charged for failing to account for his assets.

 

 

Anuruddha Ratwatte was present before court today following a court issued notice. The lawyer representing Mr. Ratwatte stated at court that he wishes to put forward written submissions before the case is examined.

 

 

The case was filed by the Bribery Commission due to Mr. Ratwatte being unable to account for Rs. 30 million in assets.
