CSE trading resumes while indices continue slide

After a 30 minutes halt earlier in the day, the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) resumed share trading a short while ago. Trading resumed at 10.59 am this morning (Oct. 13).

 

 

However indices continue to slide with All Share Price Index (ASPI) falling over 5.5 per cent and Milanka Price Index (MPI) falling 5.6 per cent.

 

 

Earlier in the morning, the CSE announced a market halt on all shares for 30 minutes after MPI dropped 5% and ASPI down 4.5% to 6,238.
