Asitha Perera to Italy, Dayan J. to France

Asitha Perera has been named as the new ambassador of Sri Lanka to Italy, says the Ministry of External Affairs. He is to take over from President’s Counsel Hemantha Warnakulasuriya.

Mr. Warnakulasuriya’s Ambassadorial term is to end shortly. Asitha Perera is to take over by end of this year, according to the Ministry.

Meanwhile, Dayan Jayatilleke is to be appointed as Sri Lanka’s ambassador to France as incumbent Lionel Fernando’s tenure too is coming to an end.
