Sumedha Thero released on bail

Ven. Uwathenne Sumedha Thero who was arrested before the last Presidential election for the alleged illegal possession of a bomb and other arms by the Police and remanded, was released on a cash bail of Rs. 100,000 and a surety bail of Rs.1 million by the Colombo High Court today.

Court further remanded three suspects including Ven. Uwathenne Sumana thero. The High Court also confiscated the passport of thero who was released on bail.
