AUDIO: Protest at Rajarata University

A protest is currently underway at the Rajarata University against the anti-student movement of the Government, Inter University Students Union (IUSF) convener Udul Premaratne told Ada Derana. He added that over 400 policemen have been deployed inside the university premises and it has created a tense situation.

An official of the Rajarata University Student Council A.S. Attanayake speaking to Ada Derana alleged that an incident where a policeman had attempted to abuse a female university student was reported last night. Attanayake added that deploying policemen inside the University premises have curtailed student freedom.
