300 power pirates nabbed in Jaffna

Some 300 persons have been arrested in the Jaffna District for obtaining electricity illegally, Ada Derana reporter stated. The arrests were made in raids conducted by a joint unit involving a special group of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) members and the Jaffna Police.

 


It is reported that the raids were conducted in the seaside areas from Thondamanaru to Manakkadu earlier today (01 November). The suspects will be produced before the Point Pedro Court later today.
