Bail application for Uni student to be taken up on Nov 8

The bail application for the 21 University students who were arrested on October 14 under the charge of forcibly entering the Ministry of Higher Education and damaging state property will be taken up on November 8, The Colombo High Court said.

 

Submitting a report to courts on October 15 police stated that the student had forcibly trespassed in to the premises and caused damage to the property. The damaged property includes an official vehicle of the Higher Education Minister and several other vehicles while the total cost of the damage amounts to over Rs. 200 000, the police stated in their report.
