VIDEO: Welikada prisoners attack policemen, 44 hospitalised

At least 44 policemen have been hospitalized after a clash that occurred inside the Welikada prison during a raid. According to reports a group of prisoners have attacked the policemen who were conducting the search ops. The injured have been admitted to the General Hospital.
Prisons Commissioner V.R. De Silva told Ada Derana that the incident took place during an early morning raid at the Welikada Prison.
