Five more needles removed from maid

Five more needles have been successfully extracted from the left hand of Weeraaiya Letchumi, a Lankan maid who arrived from Kuwait recently with several metal needles inside her left leg and left arm, Hospital director Dr. S. Rajamanthri confirmed.
The needles were extracted in an operation conducted at the Kurunegala General Hospital today morning, the director of the hospital further added.
Nine needles were removed last Friday (12 November) at the same hospital while she is said to have returned to Sri Lanka from Kuwait on the 08th of November.
