VIDEO: Fonseka’s health deteriorating - Karu

Jailed former Army Chief Sarath Fonseka’s health was deteriorating, UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya said after visiting him at the Welikada Prison Hospital last evening. Karu added that this was not pretence to shy away from the punishment but in reality Fonseka is severely ill and that is why he was admitted.

Karu claimed that if Fonseka wanted to shy way from the prison sentence he could have feigned illness the moment he was imprisoned. Karu stated that he was saddened at the inhumane way and revengeful way Fonseka is being treated.
