Talks with President: A successful start - Sivajilingam

Members of the Tamil Parties’ Alliance are scheduled to meet with the Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna who is currently touring the country next Monday, Tamil National Liberation Alliance (TNLA) Secretary M.K. Sivajilingam stated.
Yesterday (26 November) a group of Tamil party representatives held a discussion with President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees. Former MP M.K. Sivajilingam who took part in the meeting said that it was a successful beginning.
Not a single person will be resettled in areas where the safety of the public cannot be guaranteed and the resettling process will continue only after all landmines are successfully cleared, the President had expressed during the discussions.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa had also informed the Tamil party representatives that the government has already taken measures to develop the infrastructure of North East areas and thereby satisfy the basic needs of the public.
