Unidentified body found at Colombo Port

An unidentified body of a male between the age of 45 and 50 was discovered at the seashore in the Colombo Port Police division earlier today (28 November), Police spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody said.


He stated that there were no visible injuries in the outside of the body and that the corpse has been placed at the police mortuary at the Colombo General Hospital.


The postmortem regarding the death has not been completed yet however the Colombo Port Police are conducting an extensive investigation, the spokesman further expressed.
