Protest against President was in vain, says Prabha

Parliamentarian Prabha Ganeshan today expressed that he fully condemns the protest carried out by a group of Tamil people in London against the UK trip of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Speaking at a press conference in Colombo today (December 04) he said that the demonstration in whole was an act of utter foolishness.
The war has ended, peace is prevailing and now development projects in the country are rapidly taking place, he pointed out.
The resettlement and development process in North East is continuing very well, he said and therefore requested the Tamil Diaspora to contribute towards it.
The former Democratic People’s Front (DPF) member who recently crossed over to the government side accused that, even though only a small portion of the Tamil public living in Britain had participated in the protest, the blame has been directed towards entire Tamil Diaspora in general.
The protest was an entirely unfruitful act, and such demonstrations could result in the displeasure of the President, Prabha Ganeshan emphasized.
