Can’t expect leadership change at UNP convention - Seneviratne

December 4, 2010   05:07 pm

Productivity Promotion Minister Lakshman Seneviratne says he does not believe that any change in the party’s leadership will take place at the United National Party annual convention which is to be held on December 12.

It is difficult to believe that Ranil Wickramasinghe will give up his position as the opposition leader, he stated.

Even if a change does occur in the leadership of the UNP, I will not rejoin that political party, the former UNP member clarified.

“If the United national Party wishes to return to the forefront again they will also need a change in attitude” Lakshman Seneviratne proposed.
