Drug policy to be updated and employed in 2011

The National Drug policy founded by Prof. Seneka Bibile will be implemented from the year 2011 onwards, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena announced at Parliament today.
According to the Ada Derana Parliament correspondent the Minister had stated that, "we will look to provide a value oriented health service through the drug policy".
However the Seneka Bibile policy has to be modernized and brought up to date. Therefore slight changes will be made to the policy before it is implemented, Maithripala Sirisena added.
He said that putting the drug policy into operation will not be an easy task; therefore the Health Minister requested the assistance of all Parliamentarians without any party differences.
