Mashoor’s vacant seat to go to Farook

U.L. Muthaliph Farook who polled next highest preferential votes in the electoral list of Vanni district will be appointed as an MP for Vanni district soon. The name of Farook will be Gazetted by the Commissioner of Elections to fill the vacancy created in Parliament with the demise of Noordeen Mashoor MP who contested the last parliamentary general Election under the UNP, the Govt. Information Dept. said.

 


The new Parliamentarian is a resident of Musali in the Mannaar district
