OPD medicos back on duty

Doctors from the Outpatient Department of the Colombo general hospital have discontinued their strike. The police have informed us that the suspect involved in the assault of an OPD doctor has been placed under arrest, Assistant Secretary of the GMOA Dr. Upul Gunasekara stated.


Therefore affairs of the Colombo general hospital are presently continuing as usual, Government Medical Officers’ Association said.

 
OPD Doctors of the Colombo general hospital had decided to refrain from treating patients and other medical services today morning in protest to the assault of a fellow OPD doctor by a certain group.
