23 year old Shanika needs your help to find her mother

A 23 year old Sri Lankan woman living in Belgium wants help to find her birth mother after she was given up for adoption as a baby.

 

Shanika Lippert says that she was born to a Sri Lankan woman named Disna Tharangani who left her at the Salvation Army in Colombo when she was six or nine months after which she was adopted by a Belgian couple.

 

Shanika, who was born on November 9, 1987 says that she is desperate to find her mother and would appreciate any information on her whereabouts. According to the birth records provided by Shanika, her mother was living in Mirihana at the time of her birth.

 

The records also indicate that her mother was born on November 14, 1968 in Badulla.
