The Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) has reacted angrily at the Sri Lankan government’s decision to do away with the Tamil version of the National Anthem claiming that the ruling elite want to make the country into a purely Sinhala-Buddhist nation.
In a statement, CTC claimed that the Sri Lankan government was also systematically destroying statues of Tamil Kings and is bent upon destroying all symbols of Tamil identity to pave the way for a Sinhala country.
