Not only Ban Ki-moon no international organization has the right to interfere with the internal issues of Sri Lanka, Democratic National Alliance (DNA) Member of Parliament Vijitha Herath said.
The United Nation (UN) Expert Panel, appointed by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to investigate and advise him on alleged human rights violation in Sri Lanka, should not be allowed to enter the country, he stated.
We firmly condemn the planned visit by the panel of experts, Vijitha Herath said during a JVP press conference today (December 20).
“Nevertheless the government is currently preparing to grant permission to the panel to arrive in Sri Lanka, and this goes to show the double standard of the government” he expressed.
The foreign policies of the current government are feeble, the Parliamentarian went on to say.
