Colombo to Heathrow flights resume

Flights from Sri Lanka to the Heathrow airport in London have recommenced, Sri Lankan Airline notified. Two London bound flights took off from Colombo to the Heathrow airport today (December 20), an official of the airline stated.


The Heathrow airport was temporarily shut down yesterday due to heavy snowfall. The airport had announced that it will not accept any new plane arrivals yesterday and will only deal with a small number of departing flights.


However English media report that the daily flight routine of the airport has still not begun.
