Police security camera system operational from December 29

The security camera system installed within Colombo will be operational from December 29 in order to tighten security within the city.


The system which was supposed to be operational from today, December 21 was set back a week, police said.


A special police team has been appointed to inspect the footage while Police Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakoddy also claimed that this system will be implemented in all the cities in the country in an effort to stamp down on crime.
