Swine flu death toll on the rise

The number of deaths caused by the influenza AH1N1 virus has risen to 22 of which 9 were reported within the last week alone, the Sri Lanka Epidemiological Unit states. The number of patients diagnosed with the virus has also increased to 342.
While a majority of the swine flu patients were reported from the Colombo District with 105 affected, 23 from Gampaha, 19 from Kandy, 11 from Galle and 10 from the Nuwara Eliya District have presently been reported.
