Shooting in Jaffna, one dead

The Valikamam Zonal Assistant Director of Education was shot dead last night, Ada Derana Correspondent confirms. According to reports, the shooting had taken place around 10.30pm at his residence at Urumpirai.
An unidentified gang had attempted to snatch the earrings from the victim’s daughter, reports suggest. Afterwards the gang had shot Manikkam Sivalingam (52) and fled.
