Dates for pension announced

The Department of Pensions has announced the dates of which the pension will be paid. The 2011 Budget proposed an Rs.300 increase of the cost of living allowance for the pensioners of the public service with effect from January 01, 2011. Accordingly the total allowance of Rs.2675 will be paid to each pensioner as Cost of Living allowance.
 

Further, the Cost of Living allowance paid to public servants who retired on or before 31.12.2003 will be increased by Rs.750 while the CoL allowance of those who retired during the period of 01.01.2004 and 31.12.2004 will be increased by Rs.250 with effect from July 01, 2011.

Accordingly, the pension will be paid during the year as follows.
