TNA will face LG polls alone: Sumanthiran

January 9, 2011   11:33 pm

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will face the upcoming Local Government elections from the North and East as a single political party, TNA National List Member of Parliament M.A. Sumanthiran told Adaderana this evening.

Asked whether it would join any alliance with other parties, Mathiaparanan Abraham Sumanthiran, the Sri Lankan Tamil human rights lawyer and MP, said that any party could join the TNA and contest under its symbol and that the TNA as such will not align with any other party.

Mr. Sumanthiran was appointed as the Tamil National Alliance’s National List MP in Parliament in April last year.
