An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.2 rattled parts of Cyprus on Wednesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage.

The tremor was recorded around 11:32 a.m. (0932 GMT), with postings on the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre suggesting it was also felt in Lebanon. Cyprus is in a seismically active region, but earthquakes rarely cause damage.
