Indian Consulate in Jaffna begins visa services

The Indian Consulate in Jaffna began issuing visas yesterday (January 17) and confirmed that between 50 to 100 visas can be issued each day, Indian Consul-General in Jaffna V. Mahalingam told Indian Media.

 

The process to gain the visas has not changes as applicants will have to approach VFS to obtain their visas. Applications will be sent to the Indian High Commission in Colombo while the passports stamped with the visas can be collected from the Consulate in Jaffna.

 

He added that the Consulate will be able to provide a better service once more software and personnel arrive from India.
