No alternative to fuel price hike: Lanka IOC

Lanka IOC says that due to the rising fuel prices in the global market they have had to face great difficulties in importing fuel. The company’s Managing Director, K.R. Suresh Kumar stated that they had requested the government in the past several weeks to increase fuel prices.  


However so far no response from the government has been received regarding a fuel price hike, he expressed.


Under prevailing circumstance we have no alternative but to increase fuel prices, Suresh Kumar said adding that they are expecting a positive reply from the government regarding this.
