VIDEO: No relief for the public while Govt. MPs travel in luxury

Although the government has not been able to provide the public with any of the concessions that it promised but the government MPs have all been able to buy themselves luxury vehicles, the UNP stated.

 

UNP Media Spokesman MP Gayantha Karunathilaka said that after the government reduced the benefits and salaries of Ministers during the war but had taken a decision to restore all of those benefits.

 

Speaking at a Media conference today in Colombo he added that the government has not been able to pass on the benefits of winning the war to the people despite being able to save a considerable amount of defence expenditure.
