UNP Provincial Councillor arrested for threatening District Sec.

UNP Western Provincial Councillor Nimal R. Peiris was arrested according to a complaint made to the Welikada Police last evening (January 27) for allegedly threatening the Colombo District Secretary.

 

He had allegedly threatened the District Secretary while handing over the party nominations for the local government elections as police stated that he is due to be brought before the Magistrates Courts.
