Two army personnel have been arrested by police under suspicion of stealing two motorbikes and several tires from the main Army camp in Vavuniya. The arrested suspects are a former army Sergeant and a soldier, Vavuniya Police stated.

The properties, discovered during the war time, were stolen while stored at the army camp waiting to be handed over to the owners. The arrests had been made after investigations following a complaint lodged at the Vavuniya Police by an army Captain.
