LLRC begins processing evidence

The Commission on Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation appointed by President Mahinda Rajapaksa has commenced processing the evidence it has received, the Media Consultant of the commission Lakshman Wickramasinghe said.


He stated that Minister Felix Perera and Parliamentarian Sarath Weerasekara had given evidence to the commission yesterday (January 31). By now the LLRC has received thousands of letters of written testimonies and also verbal testimonies, he further explained.


Lakshman Wickramasinghe also said that a LLRC session will be held in the Ampara District around mid February.
