Two Sri Lankans were found guilty for shoplifting in the UK after admitting that they were stealing the clothes to send back to their families, British Media reported today.

Both offenders were apprehended at a popular clothing store in Sutton, UK on January 13 and produced before the Magistrates Court today. They had stuffed clothing worth up to £1,000 into their bags after they claimed to be ‘overwhelmed’ by goods at the store. The pair were handed a conditional discharge.
