The Anuradhapura District Secretary, H. M. K. Herath requests all people to avoid entering Anuradhapura for pilgrimage due the prevailing flood situation in the area. The flood situation that has affected the district has still not receded as rain continues to fall in the area, he announced.
Several reservoirs are on the verge of overflowing, the District Secretary also expressed adding that another three flood gates of the Rajanganaya reservoir had to be released today (February 05) morning.
