World Cup tickets not for sale today

Match tickets for the forthcoming 2011 cricket World Cup will not be sold today (February 07) despite the spreading rumors, the governing body of cricket in Sri Lanka said. Sri Lanka’s World Cup director, Suraj Dandeniya says that only reserved tickets will be issued today.
The tickets will be issued at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) office at 35, Maitland Place, Colombo 7, the Tournament Director said.
However, it has been reported that hundreds of people have swarmed the SLC office today morning impatiently waiting to purchase World Cup tickets.
Mr. Dandeniya also revealed that the Rs. 50 tickets for the cricket matches will be sold one week prior to the match date and the location for the ticket sales will be notified in due time.
