Will not curtail free education - President

The free education of the country’s children will not be curtailed at any point, says President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
An environment, where free education can be experienced freely, as well as all the necessities required for children’s education will be built within the country itself, he declared.
While attending an event to distribute equipment to school children at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Conference Hall in Wellawaya, the President emphasized that the money spent on the education of children is an enormous investment.
Quantities of money have been allocated for education in the country in a manner second to no other country in the world. The majority of funds allocated by the government are for education and health, Mahinda Rajapaksa further expressed.
