Man arrested possessing powerful explosives

The Galagedara police have arrested a man on charges of possessing powerful explosive materials and weapons. He had been arrested in a raid in the Galagedara, Barigama area following information received by the police.
500g of C-4 explosives, T-56 live ammunition, 25 rounds of 5.6mm live ammunition, a 41mm bullet, 1 hand grenade, 2 smoke bombs and a set of army uniforms were discovered in the arrested suspects residence.
The suspect has been handed over to the Katugastota police for further investigations.
