Police raid illegal arms factory in Kolonna

Two suspects were arrested along with several firearms following the raid of an illegal arms manufacturing plant by the Kolonna police.


Two locally manufactured ‘Galkatas’ guns with the ability to fire T-56 ammunition, four muzzle-loader guns ‘Bandina Thuwakkuwa’ and several equipment used in manufacturing firearms were discovered and taken in to custody.


The suspect is scheduled to be presented before the Ambilipitiya Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (February 14).
