CAA to increase raids up to 700,000 annually

The Consumer Affairs Authority intends to increase the number of raids carried out annually by the authority to 700,000. The Cooperatives and Internal Trade Ministry says that amenities for the officers participating in these raids have also been increased.


Additionally it has been reported that a decision has been made to encourage hese inquiry officers by providing them with 10% of the money received by the Consumer Affairs Authority.


The Ministry states that the purpose of these will be to build a fair market as well as a disciplined business community.
