46 arrests over election violence incidents

Police reported that presently 46 persons have been apprehended in connection to incidents of election violence. Election propaganda work is taking place in a somewhat peaceful manner, Senior DIG in charge of Election activities Gamini Nawarathna said.
However, around 61 minor incidents of election violence have been reported regarding the forthcoming Local Government election, he expressed.
