(Reuters) Kenya captain Jimmy Kamande won the toss and decided to bat first against New Zealand in their World Cup Group A match on Sunday.

Off-spinner Nathan McCullum recovered from fever to join the team for the match at MA Chidambaram Stadium even though pace colleague Kyle Mills was ruled out with a sore back.

Mills complained of some back soreness during preparation for the match and missed Saturday’s training session.
