Obtain temp IDs before March 05, advises ES

The Election Secretariat informs voters to obtain temporary identifications for the Local Government election before March 05. Temporary identifications are currently being issued as a valid ID is required in order to establish identity prior to voting.
Applications for the above should be directed through the area’s Grama Sevaka official along with two colored photographs, the Election Secretariat states.
A spokesman to the office also pointed out that identification establishing documents such as office IDs and Postal IDs will not be accepted at polling stations.
