Elections Commissioner to meet with Party Secretaries today

The Elections Commissioner, Dayananda Dissanayake is set to meet all the party General Secretaries today (February 22) at 3 p.m. to discuss the upcoming local government elections. This is the first meeting between the Commissioner and the party Secretaries concerning the coming election.
Meanwhile, the UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake stated that the UNP will bring forward their objections to the scattered format which will be employed in the elections.
