Ready to evacuate Lankans from Libya if necessary: Foreign Ministry

The Ministry of External Affairs works in close coordination with Sri Lanka Embassies in Libya, Egypt and Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment in order to ensure the safety, security and welfare of Sri Lankan expatriates in Libya, states a Ministry media release.

All arrangements have been put in place for the evacuation of Sri Lankans should the necessity arises. The Ministry is monitoring the situation and is also in constant touch with the Libyan Mission in Colombo, adds the release.
